If you were expecting some next-level shit from Pharrell Williams on his self-produced solo debut, you're in for a huge disappointment. In My Mind starts out promisingly enough with the Gwen Stefani collabo Can I Have It Like That, but it quickly becomes apparent that the already-ancient single is the only worthwhile track on the entire album. That might explain the long delay in releasing the disc -- Pharrell couldn't come up with a decent follow-up. There's always the possibility that Kanye West, Nelly, Snoop and Jay-Z were pursuing a joint action to have the recording buried after hearing the excruciatingly lame backing tracks their vocals were dropped on.
