Biography by Drago Bonacich DJ/producer and Consumer Recreation Records owner Umek (born Uros Umek) aka Votter orginally listened to acid house before getting seriously involved in techno. Born and raised in Lubljana, Slovenia the young dance music enthusiast began DJing in 1993. Umek became a pioneer and one of the biggest local DJs after hosting the first rave parties.
