Biography by Ed Rivadavia Sweden's Seethings weave a densely layered, intensely brooding style of alternative nu-metal analogous to bands like Tool, Finger Eleven, and the Deftones. Founded by former Darkane vocalist Lawrence Mackrory in the year 2000, following years of endless jamming in a variety of configurations, Seethings also feature guitarists Dennis Olsson and Peter Waites, bassist Lars Sodeberg, and drummer Simon Wettervik. An independent EP entitled Seethings/Unfold gained a limited release in 2001, but it wasn't until a year later that the group became a serious proposition, signing with the Italian Scarlet Records and releasing 2003's Parallels album.
